Shane S. Douthitt, Ph.D.
Shane has 15 years of experience in the areas of measurement, talent management, executive assessment and coaching, and organizational development. He has practical experience across a variety of industries including banking, manufacturing, utilities, pharmaceuticals and information technology.
Shane is currently a managing partner of Strategic Management Decisions (SMD). Before co-founding SMD, he was the Senior Vice President of Sales at Morehead Associates, a survey and human capital analytics company. Before joining Morehead, Shane worked as a Human Resources Executive and Leadership Development Executive at Bank of America. Shane also worked as a consultant for Towers Perrin specializing in the design and delivery of integrated human resource systems. Prior to these experiences, Shane worked as a consultant at IBM, as well as holding various Human Resources generalist roles.
He has published several articles on a variety of topics, including measurement, teams, individual differences and diversity, employee selection, group dynamics, and cultural openness.
Shane holds a master's degree and doctorate in applied psychology from the University of Georgia, as well as a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tulsa.
